We recently completed an 8 week program of Every girl with 26 year 6/7 girls at Lockridge Primary School. The girls enjoyed learning about Human Rights and how they can become more engaged with their communities. They chose to hold an RSPCA awareness day, selling cupcakes, and wearing free dress to raise funds for the RSPCA. They also learnt about the programs and initiatives which the RSPCA take on in their local and national community.
Thanks goes to Belinda Cipriano from the Community newspaper who volunteered her time at the program each week, and provided some excellent media coverage.
The YWCA Of Perth Spring Champagne breakfast will be held at The Rydges on Saturday the 4th of October. Key note speaker will be Professor Lyn Beazley, all funds raised will go towards the development and sustainability of our community programs. More information will be available soon .

The YWCA Of Perth would like to acknowledge the support of the Community Newspaper groups for their coverage of the event and to the staff and students of Lockridge Primary School for allowing us to work in their school.
