The YWCA Of Perth would like to thank everyone who attended the Spring Breakfast held at The Rydges on Saturday the 4th of October. The event highlighted the programs and initiatives offered by the YWCA Of Perth and raised much needed funds for the continuation of these programs.
Guests were entertained by the musical talents of Penrhos college students upon arrival before Professor Lyn Beazley gave an inspirational address outlining her amazing career and life journey ,whilst also highlighting other inspirational Western Australian women.
Board member Melissa Burford shared her experiences with the YWCA and promoted our organisation to the younger generation.
Crystal Howrie then shared her breast cancer survival story and how the Encore program has helped her through her recovery. We were also inspired by the power of the mind to heal after hearing Donna Preedy share her insight into the power of the mind in maintaining positive health outcomes.
The YWCA Of Perth would like to thank State member for Balcatta Chris Hatton MLA for attending the event, Mr David Crispin for his valuable contribution as MC and the supporters and sponsors for the event.
